We are all going to Hell

Well. According to Christians, I am anyway cause I'm an Atheist. But according to the King James version of the Bible, which I'm pretty sure that's the one all you that are Catholic, Christian, etc read, the first Commandment says - "Thou shall not kill" - which does not specify what we cannot kill. So all of us that has killed a person or an AI, which is in virtual code, which I think we kill. Or we killed our PCs, TVs, consoles, bugs, or viruses are all screwed anyway. So... See ya in Hell.

Them not setting boundaries is basically a religious contingency plan.

Heck, they could have gotten away with naming evolution a plan of God is someone in the church hadn't thought Darwin was a raving lunatic.

Will we go to heaven? Or will we go to hell? It's my understanding that neither are real.

I always had doubts about religion. However, I think the first nail in that coffin was the idea that mentally handicapped people can't go to heaven.

my big thing was when I finally had a computer and internet of my own and did research online and came to my conclusion. There's alot of stuff I could write about how religion is bullshit pretty much.I hate I live in "bible belt" hill billy Texas for the most part.When I finally find an atheist or even agnostic friend here I really respect them because there's not many around here.......

I knew I always felt out of place when I sadly got dragged to church for an ex girlfriend or when I was younger and mom took me.

I've been in a church a few times (funerals... ugh), and they were some of the most unsettling experiences of my life. I'm a die-hard atheist so it just felt wrong for me to be there.

I don't have a problem with religious people, just don't push your beliefs on me.

I actually went to 2 funerals when I was a Catholic, but just recent (Atheist), I went to my aunt's visiting hours. Very unsettling. Especially when they had everyone bow their heads in prayer. I did not bow my head. Very, very unsettling.

I wouldnt pray or anything because i dont have a religion. I believe in some sort of greater being but not set religion cause oh wait theyre all bullshit. sorry if i offend anybody.

Also i go back and forth between atheist and theist is believe it is.

Also. That makes no sense because of what the bible says about children. I am fairly certain that those with mental handicaps are considered the same as children.

The trick I have found with religion after studying the main bunch is this: The core principles is all that matter. I did a speech in my public speaking class on facts on the core principles of the main religions in which I switched all the facts around. The point of it? They were all the same... no one even noticed until I told them I did it at the end. They all promote really positive things that I think as a society we need. Can you really argue that a belief system that tells you not to murder is bad? That tells you to respect others, that tells you to love your neighbor, your mother, father, etc?

Where you run into problems is when some figurehead(and I mean that referring to the actually people spreading the religion not the deities or religious icons) uses it to "lead" his flock and thus implements rules and regulations that must be followed as "the word of god".

So summary: Religion as a code of conduct is necessary; Religion as a political movement is not necessary or desired.

Side note: from this standpoint. No religion is bullshit.

and yeah, i agree with the idea of religion as a guiding set of ideas, but when people take it as dogma, as opposed to as an analogy, things get twisted and confused.
