the first article is cool but not what im talking about

the second one says that the only the squad leader can spawn on any of the squad and the squad members can only spawn on the leader

it may be by points, but then the medic or vehicle user will be the traditional leader

it would be cool if the leader got a special privledge that wasnt taken from everyone else

I don't know if i'll be a medic this time around i like the new assault for the LMG's but i am curious what they're doing with the engineer and they said recon is getting changed a lot.

It'd be cool if they could use like an extra perk or just give them a health and damage boost.

whoa whoa WHOA, points? I thought it was randomly generated at start up? Either way, it'll make for an interesting element to the game play.

On a side note, I love that the term "wookie" caught on so fast and even the game designers use the term, how did it come around?

Ghillie suits in BC2 are ridiculous looking and make you look like a wookie.

Thats dumb that squad leader may change based on points. Whoever started the squad should stay the leader.

this isnt true. Demize99 tweeted a little while ago that whoever started the squad will remain the squad leader.

I like the new look of the squads and some of the role changes (e.g. assault getting the med kit)--assuming that this site's info is valid. And I hope they eliminate that ridiculous red beret for Russian(?) support soldiers.

You kids got it lucky, back in my daaaaaaaaaaaaaay.....in battlefield 1942, when you died you had to walk 14 miles uphill in 12 feet of snow to get back in the fight and you were happy to do IT!

What is the point of giving Recon players more toys? the average Recon Player is a Michelle Bachman supporter and incapable of reasonable thought. The only thing they ever use the awful mortar when you hide from their awesome headshot(the one they never get) and are a good source from motion sensors.

I better get a M14 Mod 0 with that class....

I don't mind this at all. Having soldiers pop out of thin air as I'm shooting them is fucking ridiculous and one of the things that pisses me off the most in this game.

I agree with you here. I always felt spawning on squadmates and popping out of mid-air was pretty lame. Hopefully this helps a bit.

He means splitting the 4 person squad into 2. That way you can have two squad leaders working side by side and if one leader dies they can just have the other guy spawn on them and revive the other i assume?

I think they should just keep it as is, what if the squadleader is mr leet snipe?

i always wished it was a proximity type thing.
you dont spawn on top of them. just 20 meters in the safes/cant make use of spawn invincibility direction of the person

this means the pace of the game will drop alot, haveing squads of 2 means everyone has the same capabilities and more squad leaders

idgaf about ass spawning as long as they nerf down spawn/revive invincibility

I dont think theres even going to be squad deathmtch in BF3.

There'll be team deathmatch though which will probably be better than SDM since it will be a full server instead of 16 at the most.

Never liked SQD. Seemed....lame.

Team Death Match seems to be the filter where all the garbage K/D obsessed Head Not Shot snipers a will converse in a senate of suckdom and poop skills.

problem is that that means every other good game mode will be under populated because of the fact shit players out number none morons by a ration of 310 to 1.

BF3 looks to be in bad shape do the fact online gaming sucks......

Ah dammit....done got myself all sad with logic.

I like that you can only spawn on Squad leaders. It will force your squad to be focused around one person, y'know, so when you're playing with randoms it won't just be a bunch of random people who happen to have green names spread about the map randomly spawning everywhere. Everyone in your squad will have to be in the same place pretty much.

It will also make conquest better because there will be more people spawning at and defending flags because the leader is dead. This means flags will actually stay captured for some lenght of time and it won't be this crappy musical flags thing that has been in BC1 and 2 because of squad spawn.

I was actually more in favor of squad spawning being removed from Conquest altogether but this seems like a good alternative.

I love Team Deathmatch because like you said, most of the people than play it are horrible, which means I can just practice on them for a match or 2 then hop on Rush or Conquest.

It would also be a good way to get gold/platinum stars on guns because the objective in TDM is to well.... kill.

except without increased squad spawns games may turn into a two flag snipeout.

why walk 500ft when i can snipe form safety back here

i would be ok with this if there were excessive atv's on every large map

for example, not having an atv on harvest rush attack. thats about 1-2mins of str8 running. zzzzz

squad deathmatch is 4 v 4 v 4 v 4, whereas team deathmatch would be 12 v 12.

Well not everyone is going to just hang back and snipe if the flag isn't two feet away. The losing team will have to capture something if they want to win, not snipe. Hopefull they will figure that out.
