Anyone following this at all? This dude is fucked up. He sexually assaulted a 13 and 12 year old, and has it on tape. Then says they can't question him cause that's his religion. Just fucked up.

Never heard of this before, hopefully they won't screw this case up because god help me if they let him go like they did with the chick in the Casey Anthony case I swear I'm gonna be introducing some of these folks to some good ol southwestern justice!

He is a preacher in a polygamist community, where his followers think of him basically as their messiah. These people are crazy.

Also, it was 12 women, with the minors included.

The government needs the right to intervene if beliefs hurt other people; why not just tell them that it's their religious right to force feed him his balls for doing something like that? Maybe I should make my own religion that allows people to do that do people that sexually assault children, so they can get away with it.

Criminals are more protected that the innocent in this day and age.

Because he is claiming first amendment right that that's part of his religion. Saying that the minors are his "spiritual wife" or something like that.

I swear the US justice system is so flawed half the time.

...and he raped several women, which is illegal. Just because he's following his religion doesn't mean he can get away with a sick crime.



Church and State should NOT mix, ever. He commits a crime(a horrible one in this case), he gets arrested and put in jail(or executed, whatever), and religion stays out of it. Nobody cares about his reasons, they only care that he did what he did and should be punished.
