I like the new type combinations, but I don't like a lot of the designs.

5th generation is still sadly better than 4th; 4th is awful.

4th gen is awful competitively (yes, I used to be a pokefag) since everything hits so much harder and STAB priority moves are everywhere. And I hate that choice scarf with a passion, same with those stupid SR leads since that move is broken as hell but for some reason it's considered relevant to the metagame.

Even Blissey has a hard time standing up to the abuse, and Snorlax is garbage now. Basically if you're playing OU you have to go hyper-offensive or you're going to get buried. The physical/special split nerfed the move pools of most walls enough, now they have to defend against moves of the same type striking at their weaker stat.

The upside is that most matches are over pretty fast, which is a nice break from the stall-oriented second gen.

3rd had it perfect though.

It was bad because all of the pokemon looked retarded and a lot were ridiculously strong. 1st and 2nd were by far the best.

I meant the actual game. Metagame was easily broke by 4th, or at least OU was. I've never really played anything but OU, so I might give it a shot.

UU was pretty fun until they took Crobat out, I'll admit he was a bit bork but he was fun as hell to use.

I use Crobat in OU as my lead. Fucking beast <3

Against some of the more popular leads I've never had any real success with Crobat, he may be immune to Fake Out but he's too niche to really be effective.

4x resist to fighting makes him a good Breloom counter, and he can shut down most Infernape leads. His stat dispersal is just too woefully average for OU - he can't hit hard, he can't take a lot of abuse and the only thing that stands out is his speed.

I can tell he misses his physical Shadow Ball terribly too.

Well I make up for his non combat abilities with Super Fang, and I also have Air Slash in case I run into a Breloom. With Taunt and Roost, he can make a pretty decent lead IMO.

Well he only gets it in HG/SS, but yeah, it's pretty beast

I play for fun, I've only recently gotten into the whole competitive battling. I have everything figured out I just haven't played against any body yet.

Actual stat breakdown and all of that is meh, I just want to play against people instead of the CPU.
