well since it is technically a "product" that comes from an "animal" it does kind of go against their core beliefs of not consuming anything that comes from an animal...then again said "animal" has consciousness and can give permission to consume the "product".

don't know...it's a bit of a conundrum. I think we need to find a vegan and ask them. For science!
