My Nexus 7 came in today

Man this thing has just been a joy to use. Probably my favorite part about it is how portable it is while at the same time feeling like a massive upgrade to my nexus s. Will post some a lot more impressions and pictures later.

I remember playing CoD zombies on my buddies Iphone...... it wish I could forget.

I despise touch screen controls.

Even with my Vita I dont use them.

I really do like the device, but I can not shake this feeling like it is a waste. Sure it is miles better than my phone both usability and spec wise, but I am just not sure if I especially need a tablet. Still it is better reading on this over my phone or computer, and since I just found out I could rent ebooks from my library I should be reading on it a lot more. Browsing on the tablet is pretty good, though it is no way more enjoyable than my desktop. Same goes for movies. Probably my only disappointment about the device is that the speaker and music quality is not nearly as good as my nexus s. My favorite part about using the nexus 7 though is how I can just walk into another room without generally interrupting what I was doing. I love how portable it is. I was also pleasantly surprised that in some pants it fits into my pocket quite well (for a 7" device).

I disagree, games can work exceedingly well when designed around a touch interface, like osmos, canabalt, world of goo, and others. For everything else I can just plug in my 360 controller into my nexus 7 using an adapter and play with that. Most games either offer native support for it (like shadow gun, dead trigger, gta3, etc.) or offer a way to remap the keys. I know with some fiddling you can also use a ps3 controller quite easily.

I play Nazi Zombies on my iPhone sometimes, it's not that bad really.
