I know people who think they understand guitar because they play guitar hero.

I played drums on Rock Band religiously for about 2 years. I fucking loved that game. I can tell you I understand a hell of a lot more about real drumming because of that game.

one of the last versions supposedly could use an actual guitar and instruments ,but I never had the hand eye coordination for it....could barely play the game on easy mode lol

Ante the drums are a bit different.

I can see how Rock Band can mimic a drum set and it could teach you a thing or two.

But guitar is totally different. No strings, no bueno.

Yeah I tried playing it a few times...not fun at all for me. I'm kind of with Sym on this issue but I'm sure were biased being musicians ourselves.

I remember at the height of the guitar hero popularity (GH3 I think) people would flood youtube with vids of them playing songs like it made them hot shit...that kind of pissed me off.
