I really loved this anime, it seemed so realistic in how the characters interacted with each other in the first season.

Overall i liked it, one of the best animes i've ever seen.

I read the first volume of the original work, the light novel. I liked it quite a lot. Then I read the second one...
It all went downhill, and honestly it would've been perfect to just let it finish with the first volume, maybe add a bit to not have a cliffhanger in the end, but that's it. I never tried the anime though.

It's an incredible futuristic reimagining of The Count of Monte Cristo.

I can honestly say it's one the best things I've ever seen.

Kyuubey, the first volume (or season in the anime, I guess), is the good one. It gets pretty stupid after that, in my opinion at least. That may be the critics you've hear.

I've read that some people didn't like the first either but i am pretty sure that everyone agrees that the second season definitely hurts it.
