The new Star Trek

Is pretty dope......I enjoyed it immensely. Anybody else seen this yet?

I've seen it yesterday. Was meant to go checkout the audio shop, but went to see this instead.

Its a toss up if I prefer the old new one more though.....a little too much action in the new one though

I'd like to go see this, Iron Man 3, and the new Superman coming out. I've never been a giant Star Trek fan, but I did like the reboot.

I haven't seen it. I was never a fan of the old Star Trek so I have never really checked out the new ones.

I saw it a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it.

Saw it this weekend. It was good, but classic sequel-sickness. Tried to pack too much into the story, ended up giving a huge and complicated, but ultimately undeveloped, plot. They could have done a lot lot more with Khan, and with the internal politics of Starfleet. The fact that Jim Kirk goes from being a dropout to captain, then first mate and captain again, it's just too much suspension of disbelief in how lucky and privileged he is. Spock's rabid insistence on rules was utterly at odds with the simple humanity he protrayed in the first movie, and it rather irritated me. And lastly, the entire angle on Starfleet politics and how the main villain developed his plot was rather convoluted and annoying.


HOWEVER, I very much enjoyed the movie, and would gladly see it again.

I thought it was a pretty damn good movie. Makes me want to re-watch the original WoK.

I enjoyed it a lot. I liked the first one too, but this one just seemed a bit more polished in my opinion. I still need to go back and watch the original movies though. My dad is a huge Treckie so I'm sure we have them in the house somewhere.

I've never been a fan of Star Trek (I'm a huge fan of insulting trekkies though), but I really liked the new Star Trek movies.

EDIT: By Trekkies I don't mean people that enjoy or like Star Trek at all. More power to you.
I strictly meant the crazy trekkie types.

still haven't seen this or the 1st one...guess it's on my backlog to watch now with the gaping hole breaking bad left lol

Star Trek is cool, but I dont consider myself a trekkie. Not even close.
