As do I. I still use one though.

I often find myself hearing a metronome "beep" inside my head when rehearsing with my band, in other words, without metronome. It becomes habit, really.

I have no issues playing in beat and rythem so its not a huge deal IMO

But I could probably improve my solid chops with some metronome training

i hate music where you can hear the BPM drifting or the band fall out of sync because they don't use/practice with a metronome. it's almost the same feeling as fingernails on a chalkboard.

This is more common than you would think

But alot of bands(especially metal ) mix up BPM's on purpose.

I think he means like unintentional drifting...like a drummer dropping the beat because he's getting tired or something along those lines.
