I'll admit i am not the best person to give an opinion on action games because i generally don't play them. Black Flag is actually my first AC game.

I think i just cleared the fourth chapter or so and the combat doesn't feel engaging at all i feel like i am mindlessly mashing buttons, and the story is sooooooooooooooooo boring.

I like the ship battles but that's about it.

I never played past 3. Whatever the last game with Ezio and Altiar was. I can't even really say I payed much attention to the story either. Kind of ran through the last couple games as quick as possible. The one with the tower defense crap was stupid to implement that, but otherwise, I liked the game. The controls definitely improved from the first game to the last one I played.
