Apparently its a tie between Detroit,Minneapolis and Buffalo Very Happy

Apparently most of America pronounce Caught and Cot the same way apart which was the major reason

California (modesto), Nevada (reno), and Utah (slc).

Kinda weird. Never lived in any of those states..can only assume it has something to do with my mom being from the east coast...because some of the things I say are distinctly east coast.

According to this test, it seems to suggest a few things.

1. NYTimes website is virus infested. At least Norton thinks so, since it only worked after disabling it.
2. I am American (all red map), or America is really a communist state.
3. I am a witch...

Most similar were Chattanooga, TN(hour and a half away), Columbus, GA(4 hrs), and Lexington, KY(5 and a half hrs). Not too bad, but some of the southern words it had on it I've never used but heard a few people use...mainly people that are older than 60.
Least similar were Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, and Minneapolis, MN.

My map was entirely blue for practically the entire quiz, but somehow they knew I was from New York because I said "sneakers" for one of the questions... All 3 guesses were New York cities and they were all based on that one answer  scratch

I think that is just the definitive answer that made it choose New York

Like that and your other answers provided the overlap to narrow it down

So what New York citys did you get?

So am I the only one who got Boston Tacoma and Worcester... I have lived on the West Coast and the East Coast and in the middle of Canada + on the border of Netherlands and Germany. So my accent is weirdish

2 were because of calling soda "pop". That was Detroit and Minneapolis. Santa Clarita was for drinking fountain. Though we just call them fountains but there was no option for that.
