New Dark Souls trailer

I am a little interested in this but i hate those trailers i want gameplay!

I read that while a developer was demonstrating the game, he died over 200 times.
It's supposed to be ridiculously difficult.

IDK. It says Dark Souls.
I don't know much about the game, because I'm not a PS3 player. I just heard some things about it from my roommate.

Yes it's the sequel to Demons Souls and yes this one is supposed to be more difficult than the first (which is awesome). This one is coming out for the 360 too Cramtron™.

Kind of. More like walk 3 steps, die, lose all your experience, the enemies all get harder and you get kicked back to the hub world.

If you can make it back to your body as a ghost you can retrieve your experience, but you have less health, and enemies are harder.

Only one save file and the games saves at the moment of death and when you enter a level.

Plus other real players can invade your game at any time when they're in spirit form as a black phantom. Their goal is to kill you and if the do they get their body back in their game.

You might also fight a boss that is actually being controlled by another real player.

It is fucking awesome. Within half an hour I knew I was playing one of my top all-time favorite games.

It's not as hard as people make it out to be, believe me.

It's harder than the average game nowadays, though. But then again, most games now are so stupidly easy, and the ones that can be hard, tend to have the artificial difficulty element to them. Like CoD and Gears, that are basically "you die faster enemies last longer".

Demon's Souls is a game that punishes stupidity, recklesness, blind charging, etc. Exactly what most of the ADD kids nowadays do, which results in the game getting fame of being stupidly hard. It includes enemies being tougher, but more than that.

I'm sad that I won't be getting the Collector's Edition for Dark Souls :/ I need to save money, and I can only pre order Gears 3 and BF3 for now. Dark Souls will have to wait.

Have this on preorder for PS3. Ive finally gotten the hang of Demons Souls and I love it. This looks amazing. And Ars is read, its a hard game, but once you understand how the game works its not to bad. There is alot of trial and error though which is really the only thing that annoys me. For example- ir order to find a trap door, 9 times out of 10 you have to fall through it and die to know its there haha.

Play it like it's your actual life on the line and you'll do just fine.
Play it like it's a normal videogame and you'll die 10,000 times.

I'm picking it up for Xbox this time unless there turns out to be a good reason to get it on PS3 (saves carrying over, extra content etc...)

Well if any of you have played BF with me, you know I play like my actual life is on the line.

Im going to get it on PS3 simply because its the lead platform. Which is normally how I choose my games these days haha. And I have the original, so it would bug me to see the sequel on my shelf on the wrong side!

Good thing considering Demon's Souls doesn't have very many levels, and they are really short.
