Since I realized that I had not posted pictures of my SR9c, I thought I would post pictures of it with some size comparisons to two other handguns.

Spoiler:

On the top is a Beretta 92F which is one of the older models, can't say how old off hand. On the bottom is a Springfield Armory Champion .45 that was bought about 4 years ago at a gun and knife show. And finally in the middle we have my baby, the Ruger SR9c. Got it around July at a gun store/range that I go to a lot. It's my everyday carry and has all the trademarks of a terrific carry gun; lightweight, reliable and accurate.

Spoiler:

Another comparison of the 3, this time in my IWB holster. It was bought for the SR9c, but it will fit the .45. And when it comes to the Beretta. . . it's. . . not even close, but I was interested in what it looked like in the holster.

All three guns are fun to shoot but the SR9c just fits my hand better than the other two which leads to more accuracy.

I think Ruger make's a really good handgun for the money. On my birthday in Jan. I wanna get a P95 stainless version. The guy I bought my Winchester 1300 from said he'd make me a deal on it or a stainless P94 .40 cal.I decided to go with the 9mm due to cheaper ammo mostly and it would be my first handgun and I don't have the best wrists in the world so the sharp crack of the 40 wouldn't make it pleasurable to shoot Razz

I heard SW sigmas are good for the money and pretty much a copy of a glock but MAN I heard the triggers are horrible.

One day I want a double stack 1911 if I ever have the money saved up.

I have heard nothing but good things about the P95, so that should be a good first handgun.

Make sure to shop around and get the best deal. I found that out the hard way yesterday. I went looking for an OWB holster for the SR9c to wear at the range and for when I am not looking to conceal it. Since no one seems to make a holster for it even though it has been out for over 2 years I decided to get a rubber slip-on (snicker) for the grip. The guy who works there pulled out a one-size-fits-most Hogue grip and an SR9c they had for sale and while he was messing with it I looked at the price.

My reaction as told by emoticons:

First I was like: Cool

Then I was like: affraid

And now I'm all: Mad

There was a $100 dollar difference between the gun I bought and the one they had for sale and it wasn't used. Sh*t!

Nice volt! I've got one of these on order right now.

Modeled after the M1911A1, very hefty for a .22LR and is supposed to as close to a real 1911 as possible, hell it IS an M1911, just re-chambered really. Sadly, the store I ordered it from is taking their sweet time shipping it, ordered it and the paperwork cleared pretty much this past Wednesday and they said it was "In their shipping depot". No update on it actually being shipped since then, so it probably wont ship until Monday at the earliest, and I may get it late in the week. This will be my first handgun, so I'm pretty excited.

Yeah, I saw Sturmgewehre's video on it and it looks pretty damn nice. Looks like a lot of fun to shoot. I'm not sure how the magazines are loaded but if requires you to push a little knob (Surprised) on the side of the magazine down then you might want to look into a speed loader for it. Got one for my Ruger MK II and it makes shooting that gun a lot more fun now that my thumb doesn't hurt when shooting it from loading the magazines.

Yeah, unfortunately it does, but from the video, it looks like it's a
heck of a lot easier to load. Just watching the review, the springs look
pretty forgiving on the fingers, unlike that of the Ruger' (.22LR
pistol magazines always seemed to be a pain, literally, to load)

I'm not sure if the .22LR loaders would be compatible with the GSG
magazines since they're actually pretty different in their design.

They're all aluminum magazines, and they're actually quite heavy when compared to normal .22LR magazines like in the Ruger'

The problem with the Ruger magazines is the little knob (Razz) is round and isn't really suited for being depressed with your fingers.

Also, sorry if I'm being a little more juvenile than normal tonight. I just can't help laughing a little when I heard the word knob.
