long video, but if you can just watch the first 10 mins.I'm only 9:17 into it,and so far even in just the first 5 mins it's said so many true things.I think it's a shame college is so expensive and gives you such a great debt. It's so hard if you're not born rich or have parents with money.Or just win the lottery.I think it's so redundant to have to take the "basic" classes again in college too...I had enough of that in high school lol.I think it's a shame places don't want to even hire anybody if you don't have a degree....I wonder how long until mcdonalds gets picky. It said in the video ever since a young age you're ingrained with the saying that if you don't go to college and get a fancy degree you're pretty much gonna be a hobo in the streets pretty much....On the part I'm at,this lady was saying she had so much debt that education ruined her life and she would of been better off working mcdonalds

Just too many things to list and it would take too long to type out,but watch at least the 1st 10 mins of the video and say what you think.

with the economy as piss poor as it is and hard to get even a mcdonalds job I'd be happy with that lol.

I think the economy's down the drain and I'm not sure what can fix it.It said in that vid that college debt has exceeded credit card debt and I was like wow...like the housing bubble,I think there's going to be a "college bubble" so to speak... study

well tbf, if i have a degree and the other person doesnt, it makes me a lot more likely to get a job.

basically get good grades = get into a good university
get into a good university = have the knowledge and skill to gain a good job

i dont agree with a lot of the things in that video.

oh god, im at 3:45 and theres already a lunatic who is paranoid.

i mean come on, im taking philosophy of religion, that pretty much teaches us to question EVERYTHING (even whether other people are actually real).

Eh... They're already spitting out blatantly untrue things right from the get-go. Average annual tuition is around $7600, not over $20,000 like they said.

And colleges sure as hell aren't trying to brainwash people. A lot of the classes promote open-mindedness a shitload. On top of that most of my professors talk down on the administration and tell us they're a bunch of greedy assholes.

I mean they are greedy and everything, mine won't even fork over any money to build new parking which we desperately need. I don't think half the people can even go to class if they have one in the early afternoon. And the textbook situation is bullshit, they need a rental system that doesn't cost $5 less than the price of a textbook. But that being said, college does do great things for people.

It's the people who go into college not knowing what they're gonna do with it at all that get screwed over. People just go to college for the sake of going to college.. We're taught that everyone needs to go to college pretty much, which is bullshit. It's not for everyone.

I think that college is a conspiracy by the government to start the Vietnam War and blow up the World Trade Centers.

Thing is college is pretty much the only way for kids to be able to stay competitive in our workforce.

It's a lot of fun, but it's also a lot of work, too. I mean one morning you're waking up with your face right in some chick's rack, unable to remember what happened the night before and the next you're in the library writing a 10 page paper on something that you couldn't care less about. Money can be a problem, but public universities are really becoming quite impressive and are becoming more highly rated academically than private schools very quickly, where total cost for a commuting student is below 10g a year. If it's not Ivy League, it's very likely that private school you like is super overpriced compared to that state school that's even stronger academically.

They don't "Brainwash" you at all, that's just how a lot of kids react when they suddenly become independent of mom and pop. Professors encourage open-mindedness in the classroom, which keeps students interested and lectures entertaining. I'll admit, some can become a bit radical, but when you devote 40 years of your life to one particular subject of course you're gonna be passionate about it.

It may be a bit underhanded at times, but college is a great time where you both work and party your ass off.

Going to college for some bullshit degree like French Philosophy or sculpting will get you nothing but a bunch of debt. You need to get a degree in something actually marketable. There's no conspiracy, it's just a bunch of butt hurt people who are mad that they paid a bunch of cash for experience in a field no will pay them for.
