So I am going in for my Drivers test on Tuesday. Any tips on what I hould know/not do and small important things?

Like I believe I am comfortable and safe with my driving. So I believe I will do good on that. Atleast until I have to do the parking and reverse driving. I haven't done either of those yet except for more then once.
But my appointment is at 2:00 PM. And the town the DMV is at has a population of like 4000. So me and my mom are gonna leave like 4 hours early so I can get a few more hours of practice in before I start. So I should have enough time to get that down.

But are there any small things I need to know or not do? I know my friend got dinged points because he doesn't look around enough. Even though he has some of the best damn perephrial vision I have ever seen.

But anything you guys can tel me?

Some places want you to inspect the tires and such before getting in. Other than that I can't think of a whole lot of tips other than don't hit shit, and don't as the instructor for road head >_>

one thing, and I've heard it from one other person right before my test. My instructor told me to make a illegal turn (it was an exit, one way, coming out of the testing building, I told him that is a an exit and can't turn into it, so he said okay, then the next entrance. My friend had the same thing happen to him, but he made the turn into the exit. He failed for making a illegal turn. Could have been the instructor, but watch out for stuff like that.

assuming you're in the US, this is my advice.

Always do an exaggerated checking motion when you come to an uncontrolled intersection, it lets them know you're covering every eventuality.

Wait a second before going at a green light, again to show you're covering everything.

When you're driving in reverse and stop, don't immediately turn around, but wait a second with your head looking back.

dude, if its an Amish guy, I'm pretty sure you HAVE to flip him off. Even if he's a cop. I think its like the 3rd amendment or something.

I think he wants serious answers. I haven't taken the test yet so I dont have any advice but I just wanted to tell people to shut up and actually help.

I'm pretty sure there will be one point where they freak out just to see how you react. Just know that it's actually part of the test (unless you are actually doing something stupid and are about to hit something).

This is how they do it in Ontario Canada anyway.

Question: What does it mean when they say you have to provide proof of financial responsibility, or you can't take the test?

What exactly does that mean? From what I understand is that you just have to show that the vehicle your taking the test in is insured/registered right?

If so, will I still be able to take the test if I borrow a friend's car that is registered and insured?

Don't crack a beer right when you get in the car. It's an instant fail in most states.

If they tell you to put on a turn signal while going down a one way i want you to tell them to fuck off and that no one does that in real life.

I honestly dont even feel nervous right now. I dont even feel excited. This normal...or a good thing?

They have you drive your own car in the test?

Lol in Texas I dont think I even had to take a driving test. I just finished my drive times (drove for 2 hours in the last one because the other person didnt show and I would have had to schedule another day) and took a written test.

I believe financial responsibility is just having insurance/registration.

Tips:
Try not to slam on the brakes.
Don't speed.
Don't accelerate heavily from a stop.
Don't make the instructor fear for his/her life. <--- Big one.
Know the layout of the vehicle. Don't be fumbling around for the windshield wipers.

Speculation:
At the end of the test stop buy sonic and buy the instructor a drink.

I just read Terry's advice. And I should try that. Tell the instructor I might do better if his face was in my crotch.
