Okay, so...

I played Halo 2 and Halo 3 religiously while I was at sea. We would play four-player split-screen every night after work was over. I played those games TO DEATH. I never played them online, though.

Then I got into CoD4. Got out of the military, and got XB Live. Started playing CoD4, WaW, then MW2.

Eventually picked up BC2, and that's where I am now.

I feel like BC2 ruined my ability to enjoy CoD. It beats the hell out of those games in so many aspects.
Furthermore, I felt like CoD (when I was into it) trumped Halo, and put it to shame.

So my general opinion goes like this: BC2 > CoD games > Halo games...

So with that in mind, would it be worth my time to check out Reach? You guys seem to be enjoying it, and I'd like to get into another shooter, but nothing is sparking my interest.

What I've found is that Bad Company is my favorite for being competitive, COD is just rage-inducingly bad, and Halo is my game I play to screw around with friends. I've enjoyed Reach a lot more than I expected, I'd check it out.

BC2 > CoD games > Halo games..

I own Reach and I still agree with the above. Can be fun with others, but it's very simplistic.

Though, BF series's SP suck pretty bad

Yeah, I always did enjoy the single player for CoD and Halo.

BC2's single player is not even worth finishing. I only did it to see what would happen. Overall, though, the story was weak as hell, and made very little sense.

Ha! I have almost 400 hours on BC2 MP and I haven't even finished the second level of single player. Shocked

Once you get the hang of it Cramtron, they're all good in their own ways.

Call of Duty is a twitch shooter. CoD4 is a VERY good game, minus the M16 and the spawns sometimes. However, I really appreciate how much damage you can take/deal per second. It actually feels like you have a weapon that is worth something. The CoD games BY FAR have my favourite health rate; it is VERY unforgiving and forces you to play smart or die. That being said, it unfortunately rewards camping when coupled with that and killstreaks. Black Ops may fix some it at least, but it will always be a problem.

Halo was my first main shooter. I feel kinda happy to have come back to it, but it also reminds me why I quit too. Melee in Halo makes sense and doesn't at the same time. Of any of the 3 series, I appreciate not dying to some jackass running around melee attacking everything from the front, vehicles actually are able to be destroyed with some effort, and being a better shot than the other person is actually rewarding. However, I don't like the small children, the attitude of most players, and the fact that numbers = victory 9/10 times in firefights.

As for Battlefield, my days on those games may be over. I really tried to give the game a chance, but I can't take it anymore. I enjoy the craziness and how cool the vehicles are, but the game has SO many issues like:

-bad hit detection
-retarded knife
-dogtags made simply to humiliate players over something that shouldn't matter
-overpowered vehicles
-too much health (after patch)
-weapon balance
-not enough ammunition per magazine per health
-headshots mean too much (1-2 headshots vs. 10-12 bodyshots is a poor ratio, if you can take 10-12 bodyshots, it should be 3-4 headshots. Ever play the free online Combat Arms? ONE headshot kills you, just like in the MoH Beta, and remember how stupid that was?)
-If not for limited ammo, Engineers are BY FAR the best overall class in BC2.
-Revive invincibility is BS
-Revive shouldn't be in the game; only healing. If you allow revives, don't make it count as a death, and make the recharge MUCH longer.
-The point system is completely screwed up; an assault can work their ass off, and get 9-10th place, a useless Recon gets a couple headshots from across the map gets 5-6th, and a medic just farming points will nearly always get 1st by several thousand points. Ever repair the UAV as an Engineer; it literally takes less than a second to get 130 points; an Assault has to dispense 13 ammo refills, or get 2 kills with headshots (still has 10 points less) to get that much.
-Crate bashing

If they fixed all of those issues, mainly hit detection, I will come back to BC2, because it would be the best FPS online, but until then, never.
