I advertised my private server on f-book, got almost twice as many people applying as I can have.

We're opening it up to semi private. so people we've either known for a while or we know IRL. We actually have between 8-15 people who've expressed interest in joing, so it'll be awesome. I like administering a server Plague, it'll be fun for me, especially since I instituted a whitelist and controls. And with our rather dedicated mod staff, I see no problems on the horizon. Mostly sine our cities are so far away from spawn as to be almost impregnable. And then again, the only things I really value are a giant obsidian submarine that sits in the middle of a bid ass ice sea, and my floating dome-home. That and Siren's cliff house. So it won't be a burden to protect.

Oh, and we're opening it on the 15th, so we have a bit more time to finish shit up. If anyone is interested in joining for the launch day, just tell me and I'll let you on for a while.

since none of us is really good at IT, we just pay for hosting. Surprisingly cheap.

they host, do regular maintenance across all servers, manage plugins (a godsend right there) and provide mod updates, all through a single interface. oh and its dedicated to the point of never once being on for longer than 7 minutes.
