got the x12s today and they're awesome dude.....

one day I want to get that surround sound processor for it as well. It's already so immersive playing BF3 as it is... Very Happy

haven't even tried using them to listen to music on pc...they're leagues better than my cheapo dollar store ear phones and way better than the default MS wired headset.

since I use my controller as a makeshift wired controller using the play and charge cable my friend said there was a slight buzzing and I looked it up online and it said I needed a USB to AC adaper....

I have one for my ipod...could I just use that?Or would the different power wattage fry the headset? >___>

edit, apparently there's buzzing for all usb powered stuff so nothing I could do anyway...

" Very, very slight static hiss when plugged into USB power, which is apparently systemic to USB-powered headsets. The hiss is less noticeable here than with the Sharkoons, at least" -Amazon review

The gaming headsets are great for gaming, but they are not really all THAT good for anything else, in terms of sound quality.

Many times they are designed to have sound signatures to enhance your gaming experience, or to help you play better, not for the most accurate sound reproduction from the source that it is receiving signal from.

Also, for USB power issue, you have to use a clean source of electricity. Relying on power sources like your PC, for example, will add buzz or hiss, especially if it consumes power directly from it. My Astro A40 was annoying the crap out of me when I did not realize this.

not sure I really like the Mic monitoring function...but I guess all headsets are like that and have an echo?I really would of preferred to have one that didn't repeat and echo what I speak

"I agree entirely that not having the option to turn off the Monitoring function is a bummer for people who really don't need to be reminded of their own voice echoing back while trying to hear other people. If anything, I find it extremely distracting because the sound of your voice inside your skull is always different than in playback, and I don't need to hear my own voice along with everyone else's when I'm gaming." -amazon review

I have the X11's and they buzzed for me and everyone else when I would play with the Play and Charge kit hooked up. I switched over to rechargeable batteries, and no buzz since.

yeah I actually might go get some rechargeable batteries today and test if the buzzing is still there.

I tried plugging them into my laptop as a different source of power but I sent a voice message and previewed it....and the buzzing was the same regardless if it was plugged into my xbox or laptop...

funny thing is,I remember my wired MS headset doing the same thing randomly sometimes and also the MS headset I would hear my own voice talking randomly and echo sometimes 0___o

I'm thinking of some energizer. They lasted me nearly 2 years recharging them every day pretty much,I had some damn rayovak and the damn things didn't even last 6 months. No wonder they were only 5 bucks I guess lol...

so I guess regardless of the power source as long as it's a wired controller there's going to be buzz? Sad

It didn't bother me at all actually,I can only hear it when I talk. The headsets themselves have really cool sound Razz
