nope, im fine. But I'm getting really weird shadows. Like out in my desert, with literally nothing anywhere, there are shadows.

Yes I definitely get a performance hot now. In minecraft 1.1 i usually got around 150+ fps, but now in jungle biomes my average is 80 with it dipping into the 60's on occasion. Turning off smooth lightning should help a lot for anyone having issues.
