TL;DR, 7/10

I'm kinda sleep deprived and don't feel like writing a chapter book,I'll post some quick pro's and cons

Cons,

-Background environments look really low res,the cutscenes looked REALLY low res and faded and not much color to them...it's like I was watching a PS1 fmv...and I play on a hdtv w/hdmi on 1080p
-The ending is the biggest con that sticks out to me...I'll just link a video that pretty much has my points as well...

-tacked on horde mode multiplayer we've all played too much of and me personally burned out on,barely any maps, clunky controls, lag(probably sucky EA servers)
-day 1 DLC that's actually on the disc. Also cheesy online pass
-I guess I cared more about the series than bioware did,because......quite frankly the ending ruined the series for me and I have like no urge to ever play any of em again...They only had 1 original writer left anyway from ME1.I guess they didn't like EA and left, idk
-Quest/journal system sucks,I swear I remember in ME2 it actually updating as the quest went on.Like,go to planet X and save a colony,it would update and tell you to go back to ____ on the citadel for example....in ME3,doesn't update and you can wander around aimlessly looking for some planet when you already found the quest item randomly and don't even know it,then you have to hope you remember where the quest giver was....
-Most of the side quests you get by listening in all cheesy to people talking on cell phones on the citadel
-tacked on "rpg elements" which just consist of putting generic scope/clip on generic army gun.No real use in using many of the guns you can buy,I did fine with the regular assault rifle, game was REALLY easy.Should have played on insanity for a bit of a challenge
-other plot holes I can't remember all of,but include Haelstrom's star aging too fast (ME2 Tali's loyalty quest)

pros,
That's all the cons off the top of my head......for pros,it's a decent game if you like the series till the ending, emotionally engaging, decent graphics if you ignore the cutscenes and low res background.Decent length,30-40 hours.I say rent it and save your 60 bucks. 7/10

I don't even know where to start with this "review." You obviously have a heated grudge against this game.

-Multiplayer is not "tacked on." If you want the truth, it was originally being developed as it's own game completely, but Bioware decided to incorporate it into the campaign experience. It melds with it perfectly if you pay attention to the dialogue in the side missions. The actual gameplay in multiplayer is very engrossing. Silver and gold difficulties provide very challenging content that absolutely demand good teamwork and communication. There's also an exorbitant amount of stuff to unlock, from weapon mods, to characters and customization options, to the truckloads of weapons themselves. This brings me to point number 2...

-The weapon selection is ME3 is for the most part, very varied. Each gun feels unique and serves a role. Yeah, you can use the M8 Avenger the whole game if you want, but switching up your loadout to match the mission at hand can make a huge difference. To further that, the weapon mods can completely change the behavior of a given gun and just opens up even more playstyles, which is never a bad thing.

-The story. Yes, the end is awful, but ME3 has some amazing writing. As I played through the game and had to make some impossibly difficult decisions, I realized just how attached to some of the characters I had become. From Mordin's sacrifice, all the way to the talk with Garrus on Earth, and even the final scene with Anderson. I got teary-eyed several times throughout the campaign, and I know I'm not the only one. "Just like old times..."

-As for the low-res backgrounds/cutscenes, Mass Effect has always had super compressed cutscenes. The low-res backgrounds though, there's only a few that come to mind and they're in areas you aren't intended to be looking. No mention of the awesome views on Menae (Palaven's moon), Tuchanka, or Rannoch?

-The journal system is garbage, yes. I found it frustrating to keep track of a quest if I didn't do it start to finish from the moment I got it. The citadel conversation "quests" were a little awkward, but they added some nice banter (he finally got his damn refund!)

-Haestrom's star isn't a plot hole, it just wasn't expanded upon yet. I'll bet we see a DLC focusing on it in the future.

You express what you disliked with a good amount of detail, but only just barely pore over the good, and that's not really fair.

I give Mass Effect 3 a 8.5/10. If not for the ending and clunky journal, it would be teetering on the 9.5 - 10 line.

yeah some parts had me tearing up too.I was just let down so much by the ending because the rest of the game was pretty good and I had my hopes up just to really be let down. It's cool they had multiplayer, some would love it,it just got kinda old to me since I'm burned out on horde type modes.I remember on palavan's moon it looked nice and had the reapers in the background, and then I look up in awe to palavan itself and it looked horribly low res to me.....maybe they lowered the res alot for consoles,I dunno.I heard a few on pc asking if there's going to be a high res pack released so I guess it's not much better for them.

it was a really decent ride to the ending,I just felt betrayed after all those hours in all the games to be let down like that...no options or closure really.Maybe they can save themselves with dlc or something.I remember alot of people were mad when Fallout 3 ended like it did and they fixed it with DLC.Then again New Vegas never got a thing to play after the ending but I guess that had more to do with too many options the creators said, but yet I remember reading stuff that modders had made post game playable dlc so eh,I'll chalk that up to obsidian being obsidian Razz

The day one DLC already on the list?!? I am guessing that some files were on it....but the damn DLC was over 600 megabytes to freaking download. It wasn't some small 100.00 KB download that unlocked a key. It was over 2/4s of a freaking gig to download!

Javik as a squadmate is already on the game, but almost all his dialogue/mission (and maybe his weapon?) is not

I give the SP an 8/10, all the side quests were meh at best. The main story was great.

The MP I also give an 8/10. I'm gonna be playing it quite a bit, I find it really challenging and just lots of fun upgrade your guy with different builds.

I give it an 8 personally. Honestly its my least favorite in the series, however its still a very good game. The game play mechanics are the best in the series, and really fun. The whole game felt rushed and short, and the ending was a joke to anyone who has played all three games. I dunno, have very mixed feelings on the series now.
