TL;DR, 7/10
I'm kinda sleep deprived and don't feel like writing a chapter book,I'll post some quick pro's and cons
Cons,
-Background environments look really low res,the cutscenes looked REALLY low res and faded and not much color to them...it's like I was watching a PS1 fmv...and I play on a hdtv w/hdmi on 1080p
-The ending is the biggest con that sticks out to me...I'll just link a video that pretty much has my points as well...
-tacked on horde mode multiplayer we've all played too much of and me personally burned out on,barely any maps, clunky controls, lag(probably sucky EA servers)
-day 1 DLC that's actually on the disc. Also cheesy online pass
-I guess I cared more about the series than bioware did,because......quite frankly the ending ruined the series for me and I have like no urge to ever play any of em again...They only had 1 original writer left anyway from ME1.I guess they didn't like EA and left, idk
-Quest/journal system sucks,I swear I remember in ME2 it actually updating as the quest went on.Like,go to planet X and save a colony,it would update and tell you to go back to ____ on the citadel for example....in ME3,doesn't update and you can wander around aimlessly looking for some planet when you already found the quest item randomly and don't even know it,then you have to hope you remember where the quest giver was....
-Most of the side quests you get by listening in all cheesy to people talking on cell phones on the citadel
-tacked on "rpg elements" which just consist of putting generic scope/clip on generic army gun.No real use in using many of the guns you can buy,I did fine with the regular assault rifle, game was REALLY easy.Should have played on insanity for a bit of a challenge
-other plot holes I can't remember all of,but include Haelstrom's star aging too fast (ME2 Tali's loyalty quest)
pros,
That's all the cons off the top of my head......for pros,it's a decent game if you like the series till the ending, emotionally engaging, decent graphics if you ignore the cutscenes and low res background.Decent length,30-40 hours.I say rent it and save your 60 bucks. 7/10
