So I finally managed to get the phone number of a girl I like.

Took me freaking long enough. I've been trying to get to know her for a while now but school kept getting in the way. Didn't help that she's in an entirely different field than me (though or jobs work with each other a lot). She's going to Italy though, so I'm hoping that I can at least get to know her well enough over some time to have her interested. We shall see, what do I have to lose? Worse thing she can say is thy she just wants to be friends.

yeah it's definitely a tricky slope to navigate...show too much interest and you're a creeper or a douche...show too little and you're in the friend zone.

I find lighthearted flirting with a little humor thrown in to be a pretty good ticket. You can put some feelers out there and see how she responds and you can lay it on a bit thicker or thinner depending on her reaction.

Lol, Ty guys. Yeah, mind you though, most of the guys that like her, are not that long out of basic, and the ratio of men to women here at my tech school is a paltry 7:3 7 guys for every three women. So yeah, many girls here are getting way more attention than they're used to, for better and for worse.

But yes, she's very cute, at least IMO. She's kind of quiet and reserved to a degree but not afraid to go out and have a little fun. We share the some interests and we were even born in the same month (she's 11 days older than me). I don't know her well enough just yet to where I think I should toss out a little signal to show her I'm interested. I do know she's not interested in a relationship just yet, but I'm ok with that, during this time I may be able to get to know her, I can see if I really like her in that fashion and she may develop an attraction to me. I have an inkling that she is sort of already. Though I played it off with some friendly small talk last time.

Lol, Ty, I invited her to see a movie this weekend, turns out she's going to see one tonight with her best friend here at tech and extended the invitation to me if I'd like to join her. So, I'm going to see Hunger Games tonight with her. She loved Act of Valor, so she's already speaking my language lol.

Pfft, naw no date rape here lol. But yeah. She's a really cool girl it seems. I was joking with her a little when her friend said she liked a guy she was working with she. Smiling I go and played off my own inquiry with "Oh? You got someone you're hot for?" she looked at me with wide eyes and said "no way".

I swear it's like a war of minds in a way. You have to tread lightly and carefully choose your words lol. I try to be myself as much as I can, but I don't want to go and scare her away (relationship wise that is).
