So, I've never played a Mass effect game in my life, and I plan on getting the whole trilogy for my birthday in May. But, I played the multiplayer beta and absolutely loved it. What I've been thinking is getting the third one maybe next week and just playing multiplayer until I beat the first two. Does the multiplayer contain any significant story spoilerz? If not, I think I'm gonna scoop it up.

Nope, it's spoiler free. Although most of the side quests will seem very familiar if you play it first.

You did the same thing I did. I didn't own the first two, but I played the MP demo and had a blast.

All the multiplayer does in terms of the single-player campaign is increase the effectiveness of your army in the third game.

The default is 50% so only half of your army will be ready. Playing the multiplayer increases that percentage.
