Seeing this, I'm actually kinda disappointed. At first glance, it looks like the beautiful graphics and design that Elder Scrolls has always had is gone, replaced by what looks like a stock fantasy rpg. Thoughts?

Oblivion though was YEARS ahead of the curve when it came out. That was awesome. Morrowind is kinda blocky in retrospect, but was amazing at the time as well. This just feels too much like WoW, and like Adli said, there seems to be a bit of Fable in it. And it just feels like its lost that unique Elder Scrolls look that all the games so far had.

Oblivion never had good graphics.
Also, an MMO with Skyrim's engine would only run on the most expensive rigs out there. And you can bet your ass the 360/PS3 wouldn't have a chance.
and IGN is so impartial isn't it...Dave wrote:ign took off points for the game having bad graphics when it came out

Also, for its time, Gears of War and Resistance: Fall of Man looked much, much better. This really isn't even opinion. Oblivion is chock full of muddy, low-res textures and horrible face generation. Everyone looked like a disease-ridden Mr. Potato Head.
