I just bought this laptop from Best Buy for $400. Never heard of the company, but I saw good reviews. Found out it's an IBM brand. And with past experiences, IBM sucks. I also just found out I can't change out my video card to play some older games. Well. Looks like I'm going back to my original plan to have a cheap laptop to carry around and a gaming desktop.

Its ok grey, my desktop is so old it can barely play web based flash games. And my laptop can't play anything better than minecraft, I feel ya!

Lenovo IS really good. I just got a new one and it's great. You're not going to get any kind of dedicated graphics card that you can "switch out" for less than like 600-1000 bucks though, which is to say you're not going to get any kind of gaming capable laptop outside of that range either.

Yeah that's definitely your best bet. Get like a netbook or something and spend the real cash on the desktop. return the lenovo if you can

What are the specs on the laptop?

Hopefully it's something near this, this is $400 off of the lenovo website.

yeah that's pretty much what you'll get for $500 with a laptop. Desktop is definitely more reasonable. I only got a laptop because I needed the portability.

I don't think I'd ever buy a gaming laptop. I don't really have any need for portable gaming, so I'd juts be wasting a lot of money on a lot less performance. I do need to get a netbook or something soon though >_>

I will say Team Fortress 2. BF3, Skyrim, that Star Wars MMO. Which, btw. WTF is up with that game? Is it bad? The online comics, Penny Arcade and CAD, haven't been nice to it.

The reason why I got a laptop is to keep in touch while I move around with my stations and what not. And so it's the first thing I unpack so I can catch up, and use it on flights.

My CQ Sargent showed me this youtube download software that I'm using to download The Avengers: EMH while I wait. I'll also download MLP.

Its just really really boring, stale and bland. The servers are empty, and there is no endgame. Just tons and tons of grinding.
