This game will consume hours upon hours of my soul. Today alone it's eaten 3 hours and I haven't even really done anything. Just endless mining. Embarassed

it stole 5 hours of my life... at once. i wanted to make an underground dome quickly at 10pm. that turned into a library and another few domes, and a pool and a bar... i turned the PC off at 3am Embarassed

if Zapto was still online you could help us with the City we were building Smile

it was a good server, haven't played SMP for any time at all since it shut down. a little bit of time on Pariahs server but not much.

Same here just played single player in hardcore for a bit but havent played on any smp in a while, i miss my zapto home.

I'm playing this on the 360, but damn. I can only imagine the things you can really do with the PC versions. Today though, it helped consume my whole work day, and well on Monday, I have to work for maybe 30 minutes, and then I see it consuming the rest of that day too. I also forsee Sunday being filled with leveling out an area so I can build a castle on top of a lavafall.

I liked that adventure map we did together that was fun but we need more organized times I think

So far its a bitch to find any good metals. I can find tiny pockets of iron every once in awhile, but not much more. Ive dug pretty damn deep too.

How does the MP work in this game?

Ive been dicking around with with alot the past few days. Hollowed out a massive mountain and built a fortress.

It's basically the same as single player, wherein you have almost total autonomy, but then there are others in the same world. It's fun to dick around with buildings other people have made.

SMP is pretty much exactly the same as SSP but with other people except there are server commands for the server mods/admins.

some servers run Plugins (server mods) which change the game drastically, such as adding in economies, locked chests, allow you to 'fly', creating certain areas that only you can edit, allowing you to edit huge sections of the world, etc. it depends on what server you play on, each is different.

thats why all the Zapto mods used WorldEdit, but for small builds its better to go manual, ts far easier to do certain things manually. Very Happy

if i do run the server again i would be nice to have a city that we all work in

this time around i would like to get a larger population though so we can have a proper economy

Zapto was a great server, and it was our server, which made it even better. with Imdeity, we had 150 other players pulling strings and changing stuff. with Zapto if we didnt like something then we could just change it.

if it starts up again we should totally make a town like we did on Imdeity, i could make some amazing custom biomes for us using WorldEdit Very Happy

it is nice to make changes to the server as you see fit

imdeity had nice structure but some of the mods and admins were poor to say the least and you have no voice on a server that size

getting the server back up is on my to do list
