world edit was amazing and the wire frame mod was tops

i'll check out some hosts today... see what prices are like

i'd prefer using a hosting service rather than run of my internet

i could run a server with no issues but it would tie up all my US

it depends on the player count i think.

Zpato was 30 players, but you can get servers with 150-200 player slots. Imdeity had 150, with 50+ filled most times i logged on.

I have had a giant underground Dwarf city idea stuck in my head for the longest time

If Zapto does come back on I would love to build it and make it into the spawn with some help of course

And since the height limit is increased we could make mountains and shit to surround it

1) make a mountain using large spheres of sand
2) smooth the sand into a more natural shape
3) apply a thick amount (large sphere) of Mask to turn the sand into stone
4) use a thin mask (small sphere) of snow on the summits to cap them
5) touch stuff up here and there where needed.
6) make valleys in between (if needed) using spheres of air and smooth the sides.
7) mask a thick layer of grass over the valley floor
Cool use forestgen or manually place trees in the valleys
9) add any extra details you want manually

also, masking the outside with Stone will create an inner mountain of sand. you could clear that really easily in order to make your dwarf city.

i'd rather it be on Plague's server, because he still has the map where i built all of my warzones. if im gonna invest a ton of effort into making a dwarf city i want to be able to import Mothertrees and my Warzones. Zapto isn't Zapto without me making interesting ways for people to kill each other. if you hosted the SeC town i wouldnt have access to any of my previous work.

if you give me OP and WE i'll happily do some terraforming for your server, but i'd rather terraform Zapto on its own server.

Do it Jr. I've been playing the Xbox version (never played the PC version though), and I'm loving this game. It's crazy how much time I've already put into this game. It's very addicting though. Like Frost said in a post, when you get an idea in your head, be prepared to be thinking about it until it's finished. Only real problem with that though is it's never finished. One idea starts, so you start building, then you add onto it, and just end up keep expanding.

I could pitch in 5-10 bucks a month. I'd like to get back into Minecraft, but SSP just doesn't cut it anymore.

Epyk, would it be possible for Xbox players to have a sub forum if there are enough of us playing it? I know I'm on, I think Rad, The Hats, and well there was mention of DL and Jr getting it too. That way we can kind of keep the Zapto and Xbox talk apart.

The Xbox version is alright so far. Played a little with a couple friends. Went to one of their worlds, and then had a friend come to mine. It's easy drop in and out, but you can also set it to invite only. The friend that came to my world played the PC version, and he said it's a bit strange because Xbox version is a step back from PC, and the controls felt a bit weird to him (right trigger mines where left mouse button mined).

some of the Warzones i can place inside the city.

Dojo and Labyrinth can easily fit in. MINEcraft might be too risky, it has a habit of blasting holes in the nearby landscape...

Bogbeards Battle will go on the outskirts or the nearest swamp if available.

oh, and i want to make one in a jungle biome too Very Happy

all of these are great ideas

once we have the server and the seed up we can look around for a good location

i like the underground thing but since this will be the main city i'd like to add a few more things

i plan to have 3 main elements:
- Dwarf City
- Cove/Harbor with under ocean city (rapture style)
- Epic Spawn point (which will most likely be an above ground feature)

having these three things linked together in some fashion will ensure that we are all working in close proximity which was an issue on some of the older servers
