I haven't gotten too far into Skyrim so please no major spoilers. Farthest I've gotten is where I learned I was the dragon born and went up to meet the grey beards. I'm debating on if I want to join the Imperials, Storm Cloaks or the one Jarl you meet in the town that you learn that you're the dragon born (Can't remember his name) I think he's the neutral path.

Currently playing as a melee character focusing on a Paladin like build.

I really like Skyrim, had almost 200 something hours in it,maybe more....I think you'll really like it.I think it's one of the must have games in recent history

I saved the civil war thingy for the last to do and I did the stormcloaks because I just liked their cause and the empire felt too cruel/snobby to me.I was going to do the empire side on a new thief khajit character though so I guess I could see their side...another main reason I went against the empire is...well....they did have your head on the chopping block in the beginning...I could never forgive them >;P

Imperials man

The Thalmor are a far greater now more than ever the empire needs to stick together

Also their is no Neutral path for the civil war and at one point you have to pick between the blades and Greybeards

I chose Rebels, just because I hate the imperials prejudice against the Dunmer (my fave class)

The rebels hate the dunmer...

I chose the imperials because they're the only ones with a fighting chance against the thalmor, and the Stormcloaks are all a bunch of nazis.

Imperials have historically been assholes to the Dunmer. The Stormcloaks are by comparison less asshole-ish.

but wasn't the empire basically the thalmer's "bitch" so-to-speak?I swear I remember hearing/reading that the empire was basically working with the thalmer or something....

never looked into the lore much myself, just what I heard in the game.My ADD kicks in when I see all the long hard to pronounce names XD

I choose the stormcloaks, because they are fighting for their home. Almost everything about the Imperials felt wrong to me, whereas on the rebel side I don't like Ulfric at all. He seems like a total dousche, but at least they had a cause I could believe in.

Realistically if you fight for the Imperials, you are fighting for the Thalmor. Why would the Empire need to retain military strength? They allready surrendered to the Thalmor. That war is over

They didn't surrender, they just made a treaty.

Stormcloaks are just too damn small, even if they weren't only supporting Aryans Nords. They wouldn't stand a chance against the Thalmor.
