Starwars Battlefront esque game modes with AI capturing flags, etc. Throw in some split screen too and this would be GOTY three times over.

I disagree. I think BF3 is quite a bit better in nearly every single aspect (other than menus and presentation... those suck ass in BF3)
I've already surpassed my total BC2 playing time. Really the only thing I miss from BC2 are snow and jungle maps.
Artimise Flare wrote:I believe the reason most of you all enjoyed BC2 more is because it was your first experience as far as the BF universe is concerned. It was more arcade like, allowed you to run and gun, smaller and more balanced maps in many regards. They were sized well for the amount of players, heavy metal and harvest day not withstanding.
BF3 is poorly optimized for console play on maps like Caspian border, op firestorm and soon the larger maps to come due to the few players and hardware limitations. Likewise for PC, maps like op metro and grand bazaar are poorly balanced and poorly scaled for the larger populated servers.
Back in BF2 and BF2142, the maps were scaled to be larger or smaller to compensate for the more/less players.
Personally, I enjoy BF3 more than BC2. There are some things I miss from BC2, sure, but for me BF3 feels more like BF2 refined and it was BF2 that I grew to love and was my first entry into the BF franchise
