Starwars Battlefront esque game modes with AI capturing flags, etc. Throw in some split screen too and this would be GOTY three times over.

Yeah because it worked out Great last time

BF2 & 2142 had AI matches, and it was GREAT for solo training (vehicle practice as well).

One of the reasons why BF3 is not a BF3 but more of a BC2.9.

BF3 doesnt have the BC2 magic man

No BF3 is Call of Duty with Vehicles

BF3 is leagues better than BC2 at being a Battlefield game.

I cant speak on consoles as I imagine the 24 player limit really hinders the game.

I disagree. I think BF3 is quite a bit better in nearly every single aspect (other than menus and presentation... those suck ass in BF3)

I've already surpassed my total BC2 playing time. Really the only thing I miss from BC2 are snow and jungle maps.

BC2 was just so much better for me than BC3 was

I cant put my finger on the exact reason it just wasnt as fun

obviously because I never played BF3 with you guys
But really, I agree. BC2 was more fun for me. Objectively, BF3 is better. But to me everything in BC2 "clicked" and just felt perfect to me.

yeah I always wished BF3 or even BC2 had split screen/system link and AI bots

Interesting because I bashed on BF3 pretty hard during Beta, and initial release but now I have to say I really like this game a lot. I had a lot of fun with BC2 but BF3 at this point I think exceeds BC2. THe game play feels really good now and now I'm really having a lot of fun with this game! I miss some of the people I used to play with back during BC2 sure, and we had some awesome matches back in the day but BF3 is pretty amazing now I think.

O I would like some good snow maps also.

I played BC2 a couple times recently and was reminded of its single greatest flaw. The controls are horrible. Your character feel so much smoother in BF3.

Overall I may have had more fun on BC2 but thats because I was always playing with you guys.

Addition of bipods for LMGs alone makes BF3 better for me. Now I don't have to aim well, I just have to plan well.

bc2 felt more fun imo. the c4 was better. the at4. less fire and forget bs. and i liked the guns better. not to mention i liked the gold/plat stars and the silver/gold dogtags a lot more than what bf3 did

oh and the whole not having to pay $50 for the dlc in bc2 was nice too

BC2 was a blast. I may even play a few matches this weekend. It just I get tired of doing Arica Harbor CQ over and over again Rolling Eyes

I agree the tag colors were very nice. I do like how you can change out the look of your tags in BF3 tho.

I actually like the guns and the way to mod them a lot better in BF3 THo I did like the menus in BC2 a bit better.

I'd rather have free maps but having to pay doesn;t surprise me I guess so whatevs

You could customize your guns in BC2? I thought mag ammo came standard Razz

I miss my baby AN94 w/ 4x scope, and mag ammo and ammo packs Twisted Evil

I like both games, BF3 really improved upon it in every way besides maps, and say what you will but I still hate suppression. It wasn't even in BC2 and I thought that was fine

I got annoyed that all of the assault rifles besides the m416 and xm8 were nerfed to shit or already useless by the time all the patches finished.

I believe the reason most of you all enjoyed BC2 more is because it was your first experience as far as the BF universe is concerned. It was more arcade like, allowed you to run and gun, smaller and more balanced maps in many regards. They were sized well for the amount of players, heavy metal and harvest day not withstanding.

BF3 is poorly optimized for console play on maps like Caspian border, op firestorm and soon the larger maps to come due to the few players and hardware limitations. Likewise for PC, maps like op metro and grand bazaar are poorly balanced and poorly scaled for the larger populated servers.

Back in BF2 and BF2142, the maps were scaled to be larger or smaller to compensate for the more/less players.

Personally, I enjoy BF3 more than BC2. There are some things I miss from BC2, sure, but for me BF3 feels more like BF2 refined and it was BF2 that I grew to love and was my first entry into the BF franchise

This explains it perfectly for me.

BF3 is built for 64 players. Rush should feel the same on PC and console though. 64 players rush is really ridiculous.

Tunis Harbor anyone?

I vaguely remember that map. Was it kind of dark with lots of brown tones and pipe work?

I remember my favorite maps involved trying to take a hill top HQ from the EU, Minsk, Suez Canal and a few others who's names escape me.
