I don't know what the deal is, but for some reason I love the SP storyline, but hate playing MP. There is something about spawning and then spending 2 minutes running across the map, just to get killed in 15 seconds. Ah, perhaps it has more to do with the fact that I suck at MP for some reason. Thoughts, tips, or suggestions on how to actually improve? I have only 2 or 3 kills after about 15 MP rounds.
Yeah, I suck that badly.

You liked the single player in BF3? I think you need to go play some good FPS campaigns before you can come to that conclusion. For improving just play more tactically and stay back. Do not rush into battle, it will just get you killed.

pro tip: play with friends

since you signed up for this site you are taking a step in the right direction

we have many active players on all platforms so just find someone to play with and party/squad up

teamwork is OP

Ouch. I'm guessing you didn't play BC1 or BC2?
Most of us at least played BC2 a ton so it was no thing switching to BF3 and wrecking shop. It will probably just take you a while to adjust to it.

Do you play many FPS games in general?9-*9+ ignore those symbols. Cat just freaked out near the keyboard and we got in a tousle.

Also: I read your posts in Sarges voice even though you're Griff... And I start each one with sarge yelling "GRIFF!"

yeah I agree,it took nothing to kick ass on BF3 for most of us.I think I had over 200 hours on BC2 but some here had like 1000 Razz

It just takes time man and everybody has bad games...past couple nights I've been going like 1-9 but last night I did pretty damn good, went like 50-9 one match.

don't run out in the middle of the streets out in the open.If you start to get shot at, drop down into prone.

the more you play, you learn the maps more.It takes a little bit

also,I suck ass using iron sights.Once you unlock a scope or red dot for your weapon of choice and front grip, you'll do much better I think.

try out support and use the M27 and for pistol,I use MP443 tactical, but I think it might be awhile till you unlock it.

wait they have those now??

Also, running into battle gets you killed. Try to familiarize yourslef with maps, and then sneak around sides. If you can tell where the flow of battle is going, then dont go there. Your bound to get stuck in a hot zone and die too quickly. If you can hold a hallway down though, or sneak around and get a good view on the hot zone from the side, then you will be a lot better off. Also, dont forget your class. They can be very useful for getting out of sticky siuations.

Campaign wasn;t the worst FPS campaign ever. I enjoyed the mision that you pay as the Spetnaz team jumping out of the back of the plane. That was pretty bad ass really.

As far as sucking on MP yes playing with a few people you know helps a lot!

Also when I play by myself I play rush, aftet a point you learn quickly where the choke points are in the map, where to expect a lot of people are going to be, and also it is amazing how easy it is to flank the far left or right and sneak into their base to arm charges or just kill the other team.

I wasn't that impressed with the SP Campaign. I've played worse, but I've also played better. Like others have said too, playing with friends helps. If I'm playing this game by myself (see what I did there), I usually play Team Deathmatch. It's just mindless running and gunning. Conquest and Rush I only play with friends, since those are objective based game types. Flanking is a great way to move around behind the enemy team too. That will come with learning the maps. I played a lot of BC2 (roughly 500 hours), and while it did help switching to BF3, learning the maps was still a big thing. Once you get used to the controls and maps, things will start falling into place. This game is definitely not a run and gun type of game.
