GT650m with 1GB of VRAM... might not be enough to get high at 1080 on skyrim. the benchmarks say it can run on High, but they didn't state the resolution Razz

You could probably run Skyrim on high. Skyrim is very CPU dependent, so you may be able to. Its actually pretty easy on the GPU

im planning to get a shadow removing mod. i have an i7 3610QM @2.3GHz but i dont think it will like shadows at all Razz

You're going to have HARD time playing at 1080 and higher settings.

From experience of playing FONV with 6650m, and knowing Skyrim's engine is not much better optimized than FO3/NV engine AND has higher demand, its not going to be running that well in such a high resolution and at higher settings.

^ yeah, just found the benchmark settings, they were on high at 1366x768.

i should be able to tweak the settings to get extra FPS out it. i heard turning off AA and just using FXAA is a good idea iirc.

My laptop also has 1080p resolution (13 inch though).

Its great for HD movie/animation viewing while on plane, but nothing really else, as I use it mainly in the bank...

At least its great for having two documents side by side, when needing to do some translation of credit review done by the headquarters despite the letters being pretty darn small.

Thats what I have.

Anything more is crazy expensive.

So you cant see more than 60 FPS even if you can process it.
