XBL downloads slower than dial up for me

Any help from the tech people?There's gotta be some ports or something to open up on the router that would make XBL go faster. I really don't think it's my internet because the other night I downloaded Killing Floor off steam (4GB+ game) and that took like 2 hours and that was with my bro hogging up the bandwith on Gears of War 3 and in a party too.

but yet it took like ALL day/night to download Section 8 off XBL which is like 1.4gb

I don't get it....why the fuck does xbox live download SOOOOO slow?Don't even remind me of the huge ass BF3 patch....

are XBL's download servers just THAT god awful that it's normal to take all day for a 1.4gb arcade game to download?

Xbox LIVE requires the following ports to be open:

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP)

those are the ports but IMO XBL is just shit

I downloaded the 1.97 Rock Band 2 import for Rock Band 3 in 20 minutes. Maybe its your internet?

Actually back in the 4th grade I accidentally dumped a whole thing of water on my best friends PS2 while it was running.

Damn thing worked like 20x faster after that and way more efficeintly.

it didn't make any sense to me why steam would download so much faster than XBL tho
