I've got consistent arthritis type stuff that the doctors can't explain. Gaming doesn't exactly make it better. Costs too much damn money to keep looking into it so I just deal with it.

If I play fro long periods of time I do thumb excercises to try and keep my thumbs limber. When I play Assasins Creed I get pains in my left hand from holding LT to free run.

There's actually a scientific name for this condition. It used to be common in older people that did years of repetitious work, such as working on assembly lines. Now it is common of younger age groups. The main cause being videogames, so chances are that you are simply part of that statistic.

I have been lucky enough to not develop the problem, even after 20 years of gaming. I suspect that the fact that I have always done hand stretches during long periods of gaming. Drumming may have also helped keep this condition at bay, but this is all purely speculation.

Carpal Tunnel or RSI (repetitive strain injury)

The only game that makes my hands hurt is dynasty warriors.. Sooo much button mashing.

My hands ware out quick if i have to spin the analogs but i've always had trouble with that and it doesn't help that the motor skills in my hands never developed.

know what you mean man, I've had something similar to this. Though I know I don't have any full blown disorder. I've always had thin muscles in my hands, and gaming+violin+computer has fine-tuned it. I will after about 7-8 hours of gaming start having little discomforts in my hands, so that's usually when I stop.

Stretches are your best friend. I do them all the time anyways since I play guitar. But doing some stretching everyday should alleviate most of this problem.
