I would had been very much interested if it wasn't for the fact that I bought PSP version some time ago, and I can probably dig up my old PC version from my game CD luggage bag that I stored away somewhere.

Unless, of course, the new version's optimization is great and it has something extra that I would be interested in.

Yeah I never had a PS1 so I missed out on all the good games it had to offer. I was Nintendo all the way back then. Had a NES, SNES and went to N64 when it came out.

yeah I remember trying out the first area on a friends PC way back in the day. I think I got to like the first boss but I don't really remember much about it.

oh god I remember doing all the extra stuff in the game....getting the gold chocobo....knights of the nine summon...mimic...hidden materia

I remember some hidden cave or something having to do with Vincent ,maybe his ultimate weapon,but it's been years and I forgot

You are right, this is technically a rerelease. It is just that the original PC version does not work on modern OS's and has really crappy music.

after FF10 on the PS2 I feel they lost their touch,and JRPGs in general really....after that I just went on to Morrowind and other WRPGs

I dont think Ive ever given the genre a fair shake, and Ill admit that.

I just cant get over the art style, and character archetypes.
