GW2 MMO of the year (for me at least)

So far I'm having a blast, I've been in some pretty crazy stuff already, up to and including a siege on a city firmly in the grips of cold ghostly fingers.

Currently playing as a female Charr Thief of the Ash legion. The story line is intriguing enough and the voice acting is superb for an MMO.

I highly recommend GW2 for any MMO fan!

Why didn't you join the server everybody else was on?

Because it was the server that I agreed to join on with another friend of mine that I know IRL, plus my brother and several other IRl friends are playing there.

also got every waypoint/quest/skillpoint/jump thingy/and location in The Main city for Norns and Hawayre Foothills (sp?)

Really reinvigorated my energy for the genre.

Yeah this mmo is probably the best out there yet....really good.

Nearly lvl 20 and I've taken on several world "bosses" if you want to call them that (non dungeon bosses) that took upwards of 30-40 individuals to kill, and could one or two shot you easily.

What made this awesome is that not one of us was in a party, everyone was running around trying to resurrect downed players or get them back on their feet to bring more firepower to the fight.

It was a maelstrom of fireballs, frost bolts, arrows, fangs, blood, sweat and tears. God I love this game lol.

I am nearly lvl 17 (like 2 bars to go), and I have this experience too...people are much more fun to play with. Also the world bosses (world event things) I have killed like 30 of them.....from lvl 12 to 17... thats how I leveled up lol. because the world events get you like 4000 exp if you do it from the beginning to the end.

Everyone seems eager to help too.

Can't tell you how many times someone has gone out of their way to throw some boons in my direction.

Same here, if they can help it, most players try to revive you if you go downed or are outright dead. Fastest I was revived was when 5 different players ran over to my broken corpse and got me up and going.

Oh for any of you playing a thief, my newest favorite in terms of survivability is sword main hand and dagger off hand. The shadow step in and out deal is a real nice setup

oh man, you guys are going to pass me pretty quick, i tend not to do the large world quests and just explore

I can't find one I wanna stay with. I think I'm going to try thief and ranger today.

I explore while i quest. My thief is quite fun, all the teleporting and ninja moves i have is really nice. I may got back to daggers to be honest, I don't hit as hard, but the moves i have at my disposal i find to be much more useful than the sword. My build focus' on back stabbing crits anyway.

I will try Ranger one day....for now I will get my engineer to 30 and then play my necromancer (pretty fun)

Im so glad I decided to jump on this.

I played the beta and really like it, but was pretty burnt out on MMO's from my WoW days. This game is awesome.

I tried to get into Tera....couldnt do it

I tired to get into The Secret World....couldnt do it
