So I was able to get a phone today. Ended up with a 16gb Samsung galaxy s3. Thing is really nice. I wanted the 32 gb but they didn't have any. (I posted this from my phone Very Happy)

It was 99 bucks and my plan is 65 a month and I get unlimited text 1gb of data call display voice mail and a bunch of other shit too.

The last phone I had was a crappy messaging phone and it was costing me like 55 a month. The last company I was with was such a ripoff they charged 20 a month for unlimited text. I'm glad I won't have to deal with them anymore.

and is that a definite 65 a month? Any contract you had to sign? Or is it something you could just drop if you don't feel like paying that month?

It's with Virgin Mobile. And I didn't think it required a contract but I had to take a three year contract...There weren't any carriers that had this phone for any less than three years.

Actually i think the U.S. has the highest cost for phones/services and such. I don't know why but i am pretty sure i read that somewhere.

Also i own a S3 too, welcome to the family.

I was actually looking at the S3. 200 for the phone and ~100/month for a decent plan. Bleh, maybe. I really need a new one.

Well i got mine through t-mobile (cheapest major brand here) I dropped $680 for it upfront. and i pay 65$(that's with insurance and tax) a month for unlimited eveyrtihng up to 2 gigs of data.

Have a family plan with my brother so i get it a little cheaper. I could've had them add $20 to my bill for 20 months but i just decided to get it over with had to put 280 upfront either way.

I'd definitely go with Verizon if i had the cash.

Verizon is over rated.

Tmobile is the way to go as far as major carriers in the US

Verizon has signal EVERYWHERE

Thing is the signal sucks donkey balls in 65% of those places, and you pay a fat premium for that signal in Timbuktu.

Tmobile has great service in major cities and suburban areas. Boonies....not so much. But the price is great if you live in a place with good coverage.

Yeah that's the plus i never have problems with the service, but they don't have LTE. I think they're suppose to be getting it in some months.. Woner how that'll work out.
