Wii U’s Launch Window Titles
At Nintendo’s Wii U Preview Event, the Big N only confirmed New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendoland to be available launch day, letting studios announce the release dates of their own sets of games at their own leisure. Nintendo did, however, showcase what will be available between the system’s launch on November 18th and March 2013. The list of launch window titles for the Wii U are:
New Super Mario Bros. U
Nintendoland
Lego City: Undercover
Bayonetta 2 (Wii U Exclusive)
The Wonderful 101 (Formerly Project P-100)
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (March 2013)
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
Skylanders: Giants
Wipeout 3
007 Legends
Transformers Prime: The Game
NBA 2K13
Madden ‘13
Mass Effect 3
Rayman Legends
Trine 2
Assassin’s Creed III
Tekken Tag Tournament 2
Tank! Tank! Tank!
Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition
ZombiU
Disney Epic Mickey 2
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
Wii Fit U
Game & Wario
Pikmin 3
Ninja Gaiden 3
Darksiders II
And many, many others.
Some of these titles have already been confirmed by publishers to be day-one titles (Mass Effect 3 and Batman most notably), leaving us a bit open-ended on when exactly in the console’s first four months we can expect these titles. But it can only be a short matter of time before some clarity is set in, as developers will want to promote their titles as quickly as possible.
Fuck life.
