When do you plan to use it? The key unlocks a crate that will always give you a purple weapon, it can only be used one though. I will probably wait until max level to use it.

The golden key is one of the preorder bonuses. It is a single use item that can be used on a chest that will always give you a rare weapon.

there has to be a way to clone it....people will be dropping them in public games no doubt lmao....one time I joined a random game and this guy was dropping SKILL POINTS on the ground lmao every time you pick one up it would lvl the people up 0__o

I doubt these will be cloneable.

Gearbox will be giving these out in community events using their new Shift system. I'm using the one I get initially as soon as I reach Sanctuary.

Most likely use it as soon as I reach Sanctuary, I'm sure I'll find better stuff near the endgame than what I'd be getting in the chest at the same level.

Although I'll probably end up with a weapon I don't intend to use much, like a rocket lawnchair.

I guess I'll use it as soon as I can,if it's not what I want I guess I'll sell it.

I wonder if you can clone the weapons like how you could in BL1....have somebody be host,then the other person drops it in the wasteland,you pick it up then boot them,it doesn't save so they still have their stuff

yeah I think all the modded stuff really ruined BL1,I'd never join a public game because of it....no fun with insta kill weapons and infinity shields .

I played through it like 2 months ago w/my friend playing it normal and it was fun

I use a modded shield, just because it's fun to stand in the middle of a random group of bandits or monsters. And I have a modded shotgun, but that's only for Crawmerax weapon farming.
