Most difficult enemy in this fight? My framerate. Bottomed out at 16 FPS. RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNIIIIIIIIIIIIC!!!

Running FRAPS doesn't help either. So jar.

I use Dxtory to record. Performance hit is (usually) almost non-existent for me. If I wasn't recording in there I probably would've dipped to 22-25 fps.

It's nice to be able to play at 1080p and max framerate while recording at 720p and 30 fps. Really frees up a lot of resources.

I purchased FRAPS some time ago, so I'm sticking to it (though I HARDLY use it for recording anything).

I need to get a secondary drive for recording.

Maybe I might use my current SSD for recording, once I get Samsung 830 512gb SSD.

But right now I'm juggling between new HDD or save money for later. Probably end up getting 2~3tb HDD for secondary drive.
