Yeah thats what I hope to discuss...its just a matter of everyone being (mostly everyone) online to talk and discuss

I can do some amateur typography and background work.

I cans do some girly squeals in vid if needed.

Also the less important job of site integration (portal page, quick links)

Yeah until I get a better computer I wont regard igh quality games (mostly terraria, minecraft (do we still have a server), and other things)

Mostly I will need help maintiainng the organization and getting backgrounds and logos and making the little photos for the video preview... (not soo good with any graphics progra,...i havent used one in years), but the nicer everything looks the better.

What should I make a video for?

Dishonored or Xcom?

what is the best recording software for games? my performance takes a dive when recording, naturally, so as well as an HDD what software should i use?

i heard DXTORY was better than FRAPS, is this true?

Dxtory let's you record at 30 fps without locking your framerate like Fraps does. You can also record at a different resolution than what you're playing at, and fiddle with codecs so you can get even better performance.

I take almost 0 performance hit recording at 720p with Dxtory using the same drive as the game I'm playing. This just isn't possible with Fraps.

I honestly can't see any reason to use Fraps over Dxtory.

so i could play at 60 FPS + 1080 while recording at 30 FPS + 720? with little performance hit?

sounds pretty awesome, since trying to record AAA's on my laptop with Fraps would suck.

Yes sir. Those are the exact settings I use to record. The only time I get a performance drop is in an area where I'd start dropping FPS anyways. The difference is 5-10 FPS at most.

I have an idea....we have Someone who plays Strategy Games, RPGs, FPSs, Puzzle, Racing, etc. and uploads the videos of those.

So I just spitballing some ideas for the people who are recording.

Tom Reviews is a playlist - basically when tom reviews something (like the nexus review, which was well done and edited)
Tom Games - for when he plays games (reviews of games would go in tom reviews)

Ante's Game Tips - Like his walkthroughs to chests in BL2, stuff like that)
Ante Games - Just footage of him playing

Adli Games - When he games
Adli Mod reviews - since he fucking mentions skyrim mods all the time lol

Sym Games - gameplay of sym basically with his voice and without
Sym reviews beer - lol since he has a vast knowledge of beer lol

SeC Game Night - Footage from the SeC game night (raw footage no need to edit this stuff)

SeC plays Xbox - And then I am going to record like our xbox gameplay hopefully party chat with it (just need some components to get my xbox mic to work with comp at same time.


Display picture for the account the new logo for our site.

THe background image...no idea something featuring the directors and the theme of our site.

And for thumbnails...like the playlist name (that the video goes in so the person who puts stuff their can put it in their videos) and maybe an image the repersents that person (so SeC gamenight would be the logo with SeC Game Night)



Just some ideas....this is for fun and what not, but it can still look professional...if you anyone else has ideas or wants to join in just say.
