there's this really hardcore A-10 simulator for PC...people build themselves actual cockpits with multiple screens and all the switches and everything.

Kinda like this except more hardcore.

yeah that's the one. It's actually just basically a military training simulator that they released to the public. It's pretty well the closest thing to flying an A10 without actually flying one.
