Java or C++?

So, two widely used languages. with varying differences.
Whut do you think of each one and which do you prefer?

I side with java just because I find it quicker and easier but it looks a little messy while C++ is cleaner but takes longer to do o.o

Downside with java is it loves to leak memory.

c++ just because I hate memory leaks and it is much more widely used I believe.
