Rockstar has said that its ambition is to make a Grand Theft Auto game that would encompass every single one of its fictional cities.
With the upcoming Grand Theft Auto V, the company has already boasted that the game will be larger than the worlds of Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and GTA IV's Liberty City combined.
But it’s not content to stop there. Rockstar has even bigger plans.
"Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities," said Rockstar producer Leslie Benzies, "and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas, and in that context re-imagining Vice City would be very interesting."
"Jet-setting from San Andreas to Liberty City via Vice City, with a brief mini-break in Chinatown? Sold!"
