Since there was no spacing between the two 680s I have, the one that does not have clear opening gets extremely hot.

So, I just got a hold of an enclosed water cooling solution, which is the only one available in Hong Kong at the moment(...). Because it is an enclosed system, I will not be able to incorporate it with other water cooling solution, if I decide to watercool entire system.

But this will have to do for now.

Its an hybrid system that it also has the traditional aircooling bit as well, but of course the water cooling is the actual main part.

Also, I have to tidy my case again, but I am tired wrestling with no-manual installation...

I would just give it a hit from the fire extinguisher every now and again to keep it cool

Nice

Water cooling scares the hell out of me

I doubt I would ever do it

I've heard it's pretty loud so I would never do it.

As an alternative I just chuck a few ice cubes at my computer from time to time.

Watercooling scares me, but that looks really nice.

yea it scares me too, don't think I'd ever do it because I'm too scared of it leaking and frying everything. Saw some guy talking on a newegg vid about it,he said you have to keep checking the connection points because the heat shrinks the tubing and have to keep tightening down the metal rings

If I actually decide to go open loop liquid cooling, I would not use water due to leakage as you have mentioned. I would use non-conductive liquid compound that most liquid cooler users use, as it won't fry anything in the emergency and it does not require cleaning.

The enclosed system I have is actually extremely quite, it only gurgled a bit in the beginning and the only noise is from the aircooler fan, which unfortunately does not fit onto my 680's power socket, so I had to run it at a full blast by connecting directly to the PSU. I need some cable that can regulate amount of current passing through to limit the fan speed. Even though, it is pretty much inaudible anyway, I am not satisfied yet.

Can't you regulate fan speed via mobo connection? That's how I'm running my fans.

Its supposed to be a video card heat sink. It does not have the same socket as the case fans.

ah, my mistake.

when I got my graphics card I was thinking of adding another 200mm fan at the top of this case, not sure how much it would help since the gpu already has 2 fans on it anyway

It will bring down case temperature down, but it might not have direct impact on your gpu temperature. You should add front fan if you do not have one already, for cool air intake.

You could also experiment with changing your back fan as intake, instead of blowing outward, and have air flow in from horizontal direction and have them blown out from the top.
