Capcom have unleashed the long-awaited title update for Resident Evil 6, which was announced a couple of months ago. With the difficulty optionally cranked up, and Ada Wong being accompanied by a co-op partner, will the new features of the update bring hope to those struggling to survive against the horrors of Resident Evil 6?

Resident Evil 6 players will be automatically prompted to download the free update the next time they fire up the disc. Don't forget that the incoming DLC which features all new multiplayer modes is also set for release tomorrow. For more details and prices regarding tomorrow's DLC release for the game, check out the story right here.

Capcom has fully detailed the latest title update now available for Resident Evil 6, which brings a host of fan-requested features to the game, including an adjusted camera and other tweaks as follows:

Gamers will be able to adjust the camera to give a greater field of view as best suits their play style. The camera screenshot pairs show the minimum and maximum range of the new camera setting. Please note that this feature is still in development and may change without further notice before the title update is released
Ada Wong's campaign will be unlocked from the start and have an optional player-controlled co-op partner added. It was previously necessary to complete all three other campaigns in order to unlock Ada's story
'No Hope' difficulty level will be added above the existing levels, for players who want an extreme challenge
Here's the full patch notes for the second update for Resident Evil 6 due 22nd January, which includes the ability to select individual stages within chapters upon completion, as well as the option to turn on QTE assist on any difficulty level rather than just Amateur difficulty.:

Agent Hunt Mode
Available without having to complete a campaign
Selectable criteria for joining a session
o Stage selection
o Region selection
o Players can determine whether to join a session based on campaign player’s settings such as infinite ammo or friendly fire setting

Stage Selection
Individual stages within chapters can be accessed at any time once completed

General
QTE assist
o QTE assist is currently part of the Amateur difficulty level, and automatically completes QTEs for the player. With this update, players can optionally activate QTE assist on any difficulty level.
Adjustments
o Some sections of the game have had their difficulty adjusted to provide an improved experience

As well as today's update, tomorrow sees three new packs - Onslaught, Survivors and Predator - releasing for Resident Evil 6 adding 15 new achievements exclusively on Xbox 360.
