So is this a good thing or a bad thing? I was pretty sure he turned it down at first?

Eh, I suppose they needed a coaching change there regardless of Reid's track record. But the whole "import the most recently succesful Offensive head coach" hasn't went well overall in the NFL.

He's a good coach. Time will tell if his talents will be the same in the NFL as they are in the NCAA.


He interviewed for the job and turned it down. Said he was staying with Oregon. Then suddenly today he's the next Eagles coach.

Good for the Eagles. Bad for the Ducks.

I think firing Reid was a mistake. But I get it. We'll see how Chip does. Oregon has an amazing offense. If that works for the Eagles, they will be fun to watch.

I don't think anyone would argue that Reid is a good coach. But the team clearly has gotten worse despite the talent. And early in the season his team didn't come out ready to play very often.

I think it was just time for a change for both Reid and the Eagles
