Are you talking about Apothis? It isn't supposed to reach us until Friday the 13th, April 2029. It is supposed to miss us that day, but it will return again just 7 years later, again on April 13th of 2036.

God I would love to see a meteor strike...

On the nights of meteor showers you can see some fairly large strikes. I remember one summer a couple years ago, I saw a shooting star that lasted for about 10 seconds and then went out with a bright flash at the end. Nothing like this meteor, but it was awesome regardless.

good thing it happened in russia, where two thirds of cars have dash cams.
