Report: Next Xbox Lined Up for April Reveal

Microsoft will reveal the next Xbox at a press event in April, say the latest reports.

Confirming information received by X360A, it is being reported that a “growing number of developers and other industry professionals” including Sony staff are saying that the console will be unveiled in early April.

In addition to this, a senior Sony official has said that the company had “caught Microsoft off-guard” with its reveal this week, and that it had “ruffled some feathers.”

Of course, official Microsoft statements have refused to even acknowledge the existence of a new Xbox console, let alone share news of when it will be revealed.

The PlayStation 4 was revealed on Wednesday in New York. Our sister site was there (it's just us really, wearing different hats) recording our impressions, getting a bit snap happy, and bringing all the news and all the screenshots and trailers.

How would a Sony official know it ruffled Microsoft's feathers and caught them off guard? Seriously its not been a huge secret that Sony was going unveil a new Playstation at some point. Maybe Microsoft thought it would be a month or so from now but still. I doubt Microsoft was caught off guard.

im with DL. yeah it might not have been expected this soon, but its hardly going to throw Microsoft off their game. might even make it easier for them now they know more about the PS4 and its reception.

I don't really see how it could effect them that much. I mean, they are making their console however they are gonna make it. Not like they are gonna scratch a bunch of stuff to add things they saw at the sony press conference.

Still, excited to see what Microsoft will have to offer.
