There's a difference between being a racist, and being crazy, lol. (I'm not a racist,btw) I actually understand why a lot of people are racist, and that's simply because they were brought up in a different surrounding, educated by their parents who were racist before them, or something bad probably happened to them early in their childhood from a person of that race.

There are reasons that stereotypes exist though. I'd love to give the whole "everyone is equal" spiel but facing facts, people from different areas grow up with different ethics and ideals, and it causes groups to dislike each other.
