new ps3,vita(although overpriced memory cards suck..) or 3ds?

my mom finally won her disability case so she said she'd buy me one to celebrate lol.

that's what I was thinking too,I'd be cool with Persona on it probably,just dunno if the 32gb is worth the money....maybe a cheap 8gb could be good enough

Ive owned both handhelds and the 3DS does have more games. not even a question.

But the Vita is a far superior piece of hardware.

if I did get 3ds,is the xl really worth it? It seems really too big/kinda bulky to me...while the original is smaller which I liked

I just dont like the small screen of the 3DS

I have heard that the XL is just amazing, much better than the regular version. The extra battery life is great too.

Oh it seems that during the last week of March Target will have the 3DS XL on sale for $159.

Out of those I'd get a 3DS, I plan on getting one in a few months.

My friend has an XL and it seems like a good improvement; the screens are much nicer and I don't find it too bulky. If anything the size makes it more comfortable to hold, depending on the size of your hands.

Just look at what games you want, and what ever system has the games you want, get that.

FTR I had a 3DS from (almost) launch and thought it was alright, but despite the big library there's very little on it that appealed to me.

I traded it in for a launch Vita, and have never regretted that or seriously considered picking up another 3DS.

Hardware wise, I agree with Sym - the Vita absolutely smokes the 3DS. Performance, build quality, everything.

Software wise, it's much more subjective. I've got plenty of Vita titles already, and there are more on the way that I want. There are barely any 3DS titles that I'm interested in, certainly not enough to warrant picking another up.

So yeah, forget formats and just look for the games you want that are available or are coming soon. Then the hardware choice will be made for you

I'm thinking I could get the most from a Vita plus free games via "PSN plus instant game collection" , maybe bite the bullet on 32gb memory card,then get prepaid card for 3 months of PSN plus for the free games,money saved from free games would pay for the memory card in a month probably lol

really wanted the resident evil on the 3ds,but that's coming to consoles and pc in May in HD version anyway

I own both, but the Vita gets FAR more playtime. I don't think anyone has played it since December. Not just from me, but my daughter as well. if I'm not using the Vita then she probably is playing on it, but when I'm playing it she'll play on the ipad instead of the 3DS. She has 2 new games for it she has barely touched too.
